Job description

Job Title: Part Time Nights (10:30pm - 6:30am) - 15 hours bi-weekly (Friday & Saturday)

The PSW/HCA/CCA provides direct personal support and care to patients to fulfill their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs in accordance with policies, procedures, and work routines. Responsibilities include providing direct care such as ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming.

  • Salary: As per Collective Agreement

Access to a reliable vehicle in community home care is required.

Qualifications
  • Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification meeting the standards for the position
  • Experience in Long Term Care or community home care, with exposure to dementia and palliative care preferred
  • Knowledge of care planning systems and documentation
  • Positive communication skills with staff, residents/patients, and families
  • Ability to provide care according to legislation, routines, and care plans; proficient in English reading, writing, and understanding verbal/written instructions
  • Experience working independently in Community Home Care is an asset
