Vacancy Details: Permanent Position - until June 25, 2026

District School Board Ontario North East is seeking a Personal Support Worker to support a student with special needs at W. Earle Miller Public School.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist the student with activities of daily living (feeding, lifts and transfers, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting).
2. Execute the student’s care plan related to complex medical needs (proper established care for student in the event of seizures and other health-related needs).
3. Assist with medication related to the student’s complex medical needs.
4. Assist in occupational and physiotherapy strategies as directed by school personnel and the care plan.
5. Continuously observe the student in the school environment (must report and document unsafe conditions and behavioral, physical, and/or cognitive changes).
6. Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.

Position Requirements:

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate.
• Criminal records check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire.
• Related experience with children with special needs.
