Job summary

SE Health is hiring 2 Part-time Day/Evening Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care and Respite Shifts in Strathroy and surrounding areas. Enjoy paid travel time, mileage between clients, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid PSW certificate or equivalent.
• RN or RPN licensure or eligibility.
• Nursing student with at least 2 clinical placements.
• Diploma in Developmental Support Work or equivalent.
• Foreign trained healthcare professional – Nurse credentials may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Availability to work days or evenings and every other weekend.
• Must meet immunization requirements (MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus).
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for work daily.
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC) and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Physically capable of duties including lifting up to 55 pounds.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required

• Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
• Availability to work days or evenings and every other weekend
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
