Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker to support patients in their homes and communities across Ontario. You’ll assist with daily living activities, including bathing, meals, and mobility, while encouraging independence.

You’ll work weekdays with alternating weekends, with competitive compensation and a benefits package. A valid PSW certificate, a valid driver's license, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Screen are required.

Qualifications

  • PSW certificate required and applicable to patient care.
  • Ability to show compassion and care when interacting with patients.
  • Reliable and flexible availability for part-time weekdays and alternating weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screen.

As an integral part of the home and community care team, you will support, encourage and provide independence for patients in their homes and community setting by assisting with activities of daily living.

This is a Part-Time role during the weekdays & alternating weekends.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including skin, hair, and oral care along with bathing, toileting, & peri-care
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan
  • Provide basic housekeeping tasks and companionship to help your patients enjoy a better quality of life
