Job summary

SE Health is hiring Part Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) to support clients in Hamilton and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes travel between clients, with mileage and travel time covered by the employer. A driver’s license and vehicle are required, along with CPR, immunizations and a current VSC.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and a vehicle.
• Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
• Current CPR level C certificate.
• Availability 7:00am–3:00pm and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide PSW services to clients in community care.
• Support daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Travel between clients; mileage and travel time are covered.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

• Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
• RN or RPN
• Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
• Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
• Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
• Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus
• Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
• Current Standard CPR level C certificateAvailability to work 7:00am-3:00pm and every other Saturday and Sunday
• This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
