Job summary

A local insurance brokerage in Peel Region is looking for a Personal Lines Sales Executive. In this role, you'll be responsible for selling personal lines products, ensuring clients have the best coverage, and anticipating their insurance needs. You will grow a portfolio by providing tailored solutions, educating clients, and cross-selling other services. We seek individuals with a RIBO or AIC licence and at least three years of experience in an insurance environment.

As a Personal Lines Sales Executive, you will help our company succeed and grow by selling all Personal Lines products to homeowner clients and prospects. You are responsible for ensuring clients have the best coverage at the best price and for anticipating their future insurance needs. The role involves growing a portfolio of personal insurance clients through providing tailored solutions, educating clients on products, quoting policies, negotiating with carriers, and maintaining long-term relationships.

  • Grow a book of business within the Homeowners Personal Lines Insurance Department, including Auto and Homeowners policies.
  • Cross-sell or up-sell other brokerage products and services to new and existing clients.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics set by the brokerage.

Process

  • Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Follow Mango procedures, forms, checklists, and workbooks, including pre-renewal activities, customer updates, coverage reviews, marketing, and renewal presentations, all completed on time.
  • Build and maintain marketing relationships with Mango underwriters, always prioritizing client needs.

Customer Service

  • Follow company policies and procedures (Employee Handbook, Renewal Procedures, Claims Procedures, Collections and AR Procedures, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests.
  • Handle collection of deposits, premiums, and contracts on behalf of the brokerage.
  • Collect underwriting requests from customers and share necessary information.
  • Maintain and organize all data and files, both electronic and paper.
  • Provide clear instructions to the Client Service Officer team for transactions.
  • Request cancellation of overdue/unpaid accounts.
  • Ensure timely response to all client communications, setting clear expectations and timelines.

Team Support

  • Report potential lost accounts, bad debts, or errors & omissions to the Director of Retention or President.
  • Escalate concerns/issues to the President and keep leadership informed.
  • Supervise and verify the processing of Customer Service Representatives to ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, and company functions.

Office Support

  • Participate in weekly team meetings, staff meetings, company functions, and industry events.
  • Utilize SIA, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and All Insurance Portal programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • RIBO or AIC Level 1 or 2 Licensed Insurance Agent.
  • Over 3 years of experience in an insurance or professional business environment.
  • Experience in a customer service team environment.
  • Ability to drive sales and growth.
