We are currently partnering with an established Canadian company specializing in Group Insurance plans. With over 40 years in the industry, they are one of the largest players in Employee Benefits in Canada. Currently they are seeking a talented Personal Insurance Sales Assistant to join their team in Quebec City!

  • 60,000 - $65,000 annual salary
  • 1 day in office, 4 days work from home (must be able to come to the office in Quebec City 1 day per week)
  • Full time contract (37.5 hours per week)
  • Start date : July 2025
  • Interviewing : ASAP
  • Health and Dental Benefits + paid vacation time

Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls to provide customer service
  • Submitting various inquiries to insurers regarding such matters as cash surrender values and paid-up values, illustrations& premiums
  • Following up on all requests for policy changes
  • Sending out opinion requests and ensuringthat they are received
  • Ensuringclient management runs smoothly and askingfor improvements where necessary
  • Producingthe list of renewals and makingsure that brokers process them accordingly
  • Collect telephone information for disability insurance referrals
  • Prepare analyses (life, disability, critical illness) and the completingsales file for brokers for the client meeting
  • Following up on new business
  • Ensuringthat commissions are received
  • Keeping track of insurer changes with regard to such matters as premium and commission rates
  • Analyze certain insurance policies
  • From time to time, meeting with or calling clients to complete insurance proposals
  • Act on any other requests from brokers

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in personal insurance
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (fluent in French, English an asset)
  • Versatility, resourcefulness and ability to work independently
  • Good judgment, integrity and honesty
  • Ability to protect confidential information
