Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the Personal Property and Casualty Insurance Department of the Service Team, you will be responsible for :

  • Modifying and selling auto, home, and recreational vehicle insurance policies and other types of insurance to individuals, while respecting the organization's procedures and methods.
  • Analyzing clients' insurance needs, proposing solutions, advise and offer products and services tailored to their needs.
  • Update and process renewals, and, if necessary, take the necessary actions to obtain the best terms for the client (additions, discounts, negotiations with the current insurer, transfers, etc.).
  • Prepare quotes and determine payment terms.
  • Ensure that the appropriate forms and other policy formalities are completed.
  • Enter data into internal systems (Épic) as well as insurer systems.
  • Process requests for changes, cancellations, claims, and other requests from the insured.
  • Process requests from insurers.
  • Promote client retention with BC ASSUR by offering property and casualty insurance products based on needs (renewal sales, additional coverage, portfolio additions).
  • Monitor the progress of clients and canceled policies and implement activities to ensure future follow-up.
  • Assist the brokers on his team as needed.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required within the team.
Education and Experience Required
  • Certification from the Autorité des marchés financiers in property and casualty insurance.
  • Complete training (20 CEUs every two years) to maintain the right to practice.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in the insurance field.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
