Qualifications

  • RIBO License preferred.

We are hiring a Personal Insurance Advisor (Non-Standard Service) to join BrokerLink in one of our Ontario offices, working from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, on a permanent full-time basis.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Advise clients with high-risk profiles on personal insurance options, conducting needs assessments and recommending tailored solutions.
  2. Provide ongoing service to clients, answer inquiries, process renewals, and conduct care calls to ensure satisfaction.
  3. Write new business and retain clients through expert advice and relationship building.
  4. Quote new business via outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in consultations.
  5. Negotiate policy terms with Underwriters and Adjusters for non-standard coverage.
  6. Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications, issue certificates, process changes, and review renewals.
  7. Stay informed on underwriting rules, market trends, and carrier guidelines for non-standard insurance.
  8. Participate in training and professional development initiatives.
  9. Engage in community marketing to promote brand presence and trust.
  10. Handle accounts receivable activities and support peers as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School or Post-Secondary Education
  • Minimum 1-year personal insurance experience preferred
  • RIBO License preferred
  • Epic system experience is an asset
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to pass criminal background and credit checks
