  • Previous insurance experience preferred but not required.

We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor to join BrokerLink and work out of our Little Current Branch on a Permanent (FT) Basis.

What the Role Entails

  • Servicing ongoing client needs, advising on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments, recommending solutions, answering inquiries, making care calls, and processing renewals
  • Selling new policies and writing new business to existing or new clients, retaining existing book of business
  • Quoting new business via outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in clients
  • Collaborating with Underwriters and Adjusters regarding guidelines and policies
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications, issuing certificates, processing changes, and reviewing renewals
  • Staying current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Participating in training initiatives and community marketing efforts
  • Processing Accounts Receivable activities
  • Providing guidance and assistance as needed

The Successful candidate will have:

  • High School diploma and/or Post-Secondary education
  • Previous insurance experience preferred but not required
  • RIBO License preferred
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass criminal background and credit checks
