Job summary

Assiniboine Credit Union Limited is seeking a Financial Consultant in Rivers, MB to deliver proactive, personalized advice across everyday banking and advanced solutions. You will help members with mortgages, loans, lines of credit, and investments, while deepening relationships and promoting digital tools.

You will work with a team of consultants to provide tailored guidance, referrals to internal experts, and services aligned with ACU’s values and community commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience providing financial advice on investment, mortgage, and lending products to customers/members in a financial institution.
• Mortgage application experience; credit adjudication experience is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to engage, build trust and sustain relationships.
• Strategic thinker who understands member needs and can recommend suitable products and services to support financial success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver insightful financial advice by anticipating member needs, leveraging financial tools, life-stage cues, and gathering information to support long-term goals.
• Advise on credit solutions including personal loans, lines of credit, and mortgages by assessing goals and financial capacity, structuring applications, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Holistically onboard new and existing members through in-depth conversations to uncover needs and promote banking, lending, and investment solutions; encourage digital tools.
• Provide advice and support for investment needs including term deposits and registered products, while coordinating with licensed specialists for more complex wealth strategies.
• Engage in proactive outreach and check-ins, delivering timely, relevant advice aligned with member milestones or opportunities.
• Support estate account administration with accurate documentation and timely processing; escalate complex cases to estate teams.
