Job summary

Altis Technology in Scarborough is seeking a relationship-focused Personal Banking Officer to join a collaborative financial services team. In this role, you'll help members make confident financial decisions by understanding their goals and recommending personalized banking, credit, mortgage and investment solutions.

You will work closely with members, branch colleagues and internal partners to grow relationships and identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related financial institution experience with post-secondary education
• Experience providing credit solutions, particularly mortgage lending
• Strong interviewing, relationship-building, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of investments, lending, mortgages and financial needs analysis
• CSC or IFIC completion is an asset
• Financial Planning or similar continuing education is preferred

• Proactively connect with members through call plans, renewal lists, referrals and sales leads to understand their financial needs
• Recommend banking, credit, mortgage and investment solutions while providing thoughtful financial advice
• Build and maintain relationships with individual members, businesses, co-operatives and not-for-profit organizations
• Identify high-value opportunities and connect members with internal or external partners when specialized expertise is required
• Contribute to sales and retention goals by uncovering longer-term financial needs and following through on opportunities
• Apply risk-based pricing, anti-money laundering requirements and established policies while maintaining accurate member interactions

Job description

Location: Scarborough,On-site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with availability required to work one Saturday every three weeks

Skills and Qualifications
3+ years of related financial institution experience, combined with post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience providing credit solutions, particularly mortgage lending is required.
Proven sales experience with strong interviewing, relationship-building, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Strong working knowledge of investments, lending, mortgages and financial needs analysis.
CSC or IFIC completion is an asset.
Financial Planning or similar continuing education is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and other common business applications, along with strong analytical and mathematical skills.
