An established educational institution in Ottawa is seeking a Designated Occasional Teacher to join their dedicated team. This position will be a 1.0 FTE position that includes both permanent and occasional teaching responsibilities. The occasional portion of this position is to be used to fill same-day absences/unfilled assignments at the school or pay back prep time or lost teaching support time to teachers at the school.
Designated Occasional Teacher (DOT) is an occasional teacher assigned to a specific school location for daily occasional teacher work. The DOT is utilized to cover same day absences or to pay back preparation and planning time to permanent/LTO teachers.

Process for selection:
The salary and allowances of each Teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2024, teacher salaries will range from $49,984.00 to $117,018.00.
