Job summary

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a Permanent Part Time Educational Assistant at Yorkdale Central School in Yorkton, SK. EAs support student learning and collaborate with teachers to meet diverse needs in classroom and related settings.

The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality and student well-being. Salary ranges from $21.00 to $25.79 per hour plus vacation pay.

EAs support student learning in the classroom environment and othereducational settings. These dynamic individualssupport teachers and school teams inmeeting the diverse learning needs of students. EAs are valuablemembers of a team which collaborates to promote student learning, well-being and success.

The duties of an Educational Assistant are to:

• Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals.


• Provide assistance to students with mobilityneeds and/or who requirepersonal care.


• Assist the classroom teacher to support learning withall students in the classroom.


• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 Diplomaor equivalent.


• Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will beconsidered assets.


• Knowledge of and experience with indigenous ways of knowing, living, and being are a strong asset.

Physical requirements;

• Ability to work outside for extended periods.


• Ability to attend and participate in swim program activities.


• Ability to walk moderate to long distances as required by school operations.

Salary and Benefits:

• In Accordance with the CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement

• The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $21.00 - $25.79 plus applicable vacation pay.

• Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
