The District School Board Ontario North East is hiring a permanent Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) at Joseph H. Kennedy Public School. This full-time, 35-hour/week position reports to the school leadership and follows the OSSTF-DECE collective agreement.

Salary is set under the current agreement with hourly pay ranges and benefits as described. Start date is as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to implement the Full-Day Early

• Must be registered in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and principal to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that reflect the Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program
• Co-facilitate play-based activities that allow students to demonstrate learning related to the four frames of the Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program
• Observe and document student learning using a variety of tools to assist assessment of student development
• Collaborate to promote a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment
• Assume other duties related to the functions of children and the Early Learning Curriculum as determined by the Principal and Superintendent
