Dream medical is currently working with a private client whose hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Infection Control Nurse to join an experienced and dynamic team on a 6 month FTC. This role is supporting all infection prevention and control processes within the hospital.

This Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We have six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialities and procedures including Ortho, Gynae and Cardio. There is an ITU department providing care and accommodating more complex patients. We have a number of developmental training courses and progression opportunities available for our ambitious employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and development of a quality infection prevention and control service at Spire St Anthony's Hospital providing leadership, support and guidance to all staff and ensuring a patient focused service. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of autonomy to challenge inappropriate practice and must demonstrate clinical decision-making to assist in containing and reducing the incidence of infection through risk assessment, surveillance, audit, intervention and education.

Who We're Looking For

• NMC registered nurse
• Experienced with the IP&C agenda and standards
• IPC certificate desirable, but not mandatory
• Experience of working in teams with minimum supervision
• Experience of working in an acute environment
• Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration
