Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners seeks a registered nurse for Corewell Health Orthopedic Surgery Center – Grand Rapids, MI. This role assesses, plans, implements and documents nursing care for patients across preoperative, operative and postoperative settings, following professional standards and organizational policies.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support discharge planning, ensure accurate documentation, and mentor other staff while promoting safe, evidence-based patient

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (or higher).
• Current RN license in state of practice, or compact licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days if assigned ASC pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): minimum one-year RN experience in PreOp/PACU.
• New RN enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy must complete within 4 months.
• PRN: minimum two years RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual and educational domains.
• Formulates a plan of care and discharge plan with patient/family input.
• Implements the plan of care and coordinates care with the health team.
• Evaluates progress and revises care and teaching as needed.
• Documents care accurately in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Promotes evidence-based care and participates in staff education.
• Contributes to quality outcomes and professional activities.
• May provide relief charge and department workflow in some locations.
• Performs tasks per policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Delivers excellent service experiences to all customers daily.
