Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (Grace Hospital) seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room (GGH) to provide professional nursing care, coordinate patient needs, and support discharge planning. This maternity leave term requires perioperative experience and CRNM registration, with orientation including AORN Periop101 as needed.

The role is in-person, 0.50 EFT, days/evenings/weekends with standby coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
• Post-basic education in perioperative nursing required.
• CNA Perioperative Nursing Certification preferred.
• Applicants without previous operating room training/experience must complete AORN Periop101 within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex needs.
• Lead within the health care team and coordinate patient care and discharge.
• Maintain CRNM registration and participate in professional associations as applicable.
