Job summary

The role includes assisting in patient monitoring, intubation, and delivering patient care under supervision. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited post-graduate diploma Anaesthesia Assistant Program.
• Eligible for membership with CSRT and BCSRT.
• Three years related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Anaesthesiologist by performing duties such as intubation.
• Monitor patient vital signs before and after transfusions.
• Provide clinical education for Respiratory Therapy students.

Skills

Knowledge of current anesthesia assistant theory

Ability to communicate effectively

Skill in CPR techniques

Ability to adjust to new events

Education

Graduation from Anaesthesia Assistant Program

Current certification in CPR

Certification in ACLS and NRP
