Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking an RNFA to join the operating room team at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose.

The RNFA will support the surgeon, participate in preoperative planning, and perform first assistant duties per ORNAC standards, with circulating and scrub responsibilities as needed. The candidate must be a graduate RN with active CRNA registration in Alberta, minimum 3 years OR experience, and demonstrated perioperative nursing proficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program with active CRNA registration in Alberta.
• Minimum 3 years current Operating Room experience.
• Proficient scrub and circulating skills in diversified OR settings.

Responsibilities

• Participates in call rotation and preoperative assessment.
• Assists surgeon with exposure, instrument handling, suturing and tissues dissection.
• Maintains safety, follows OR policies, and collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
