Career Opportunity: Perinatal Clinician

Location: Prince George, British Columbia

Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

The Opportunity: The Perinatal Clinician is responsible for providing a tailored blend of health and social services within the context of a family’s lifestyle and the environment.

  • Establish evidence informed, trauma informed approaches for transitions between community, acute care and primary health care services and supports.
  • Provide services to clients supported by evidence, research and multidiscipline expertise on the wide range of health, social, and program specific issues related to health care services within First Nation communities and CSFS clinics.
  • Collaborate in clinical service delivery and a clinical education strategy utilizing a variety of teaching methods.

What You Will Bring To The Role:
  • Graduate degree in Counseling, or a closely related field; or
  • Registration with BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing RN with advanced preparation in a Psychiatric or Perinatal clinical specialty. Current Fetal Health Surveillance course and/or an equivalent combination of education & experience; or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing or closely related field and at least three years of experience working with maternal child health, mental health with an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $42.4463 to $54.9691 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
