Job summary

SOTI Inc is seeking a Performance Engineer in Mississauga to design and execute load tests, analyze bottlenecks, and collaborate with Development, Architecture, and QA teams to ensure production readiness and scalability.

You will gain hands-on experience with JMeter, AppDynamics, Fiddler, SQL Server, and cloud scenarios while enhancing automation skills across C/C++, Java, and JavaScript in a fast-paced, agile setting.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and database fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle concepts and programming in 1+ languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, script, configure, and run performance tests to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance.
• Condition test data as needed to properly simulate test scenarios.
• Learn and work with load testing tools like JMeter.
• Learn and work with Performance Engineering tools like AppDynamics and Fiddler to capture and analyze information to identify performance issues.
• Enhance programming and scripting skills by working on automation frameworks with Senior Performance engineers and analyzing product code for RCA of performance issues.
• Collaborate with Development and Architecture teams on identification and troubleshooting of performance related issues.
• Acquire knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL Server DB for DB-intensive test cases.
• Understand On Prem to Cloud evolution and hands-on cloud experience.

What You’ll Do

• Gain an understanding of how user requirements are gathered, and the various processes used to translate real-world problems into software solutions.
• Understand the tools and processes used to develop professional software products e.g. JIRA, Git.
• Understand the testing processes and frameworks used to deliver high quality software products.

Experience You’ll Bring
