Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Performance Improvement
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
  • Hospital: Midtown/West/Rutherford
  • Location: 2000 Church St. Midtown Hospital

This role works closely with department leaders and staff to improve processes across the Ascension Saint Thomas system. Sharing knowledge and applying the applicability of Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies is a daily requirement. Traveling from site-to-site in Middle TN and sharing the work being done elsewhere, this position also works to unite silos and create standard work.

What You Will Do

Facilitate the development and definition of ideas that will improve the organization.

  • Evaluate departments and services to define best practices and encourage positive and progressive change. Remain current on healthcare trends and advances.
  • Define financial, operational, and clinical data necessary for evaluating change initiatives. Identify steps, tools, and training necessary to implement a process or structural change.
  • Oversee the functioning of assigned projects and project teams, collaborating with executive leadership to access necessary resources. Manage resources, processes, and quality assurance within the scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and update the ongoing management plan. Monitor and ensure that detailed project plans, reporting mechanisms, issue resolution processes, and communications are timely and meet quality guidelines.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • RN degree is highly preferred.
  • Must have LEAN or Six Sigma training.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Performance Improvement experience preferred.
