Overview

PES Technician - Orillia

The Company is currently looking for one individual to perform the duties of a temporary Field Service Technician “B” for the summer. The designated shift for this position is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; shifts will be scheduled Monday to Friday based on Company requirements. The successful applicant must be able to perform “On-Call” duties on a rotating basis every second week and when required for vacation coverage – Mon-Fri 4:30pm to 10:00pm & Sat-Sun 8:00am to 10:00pm. When not scheduled in PES, the successful candidate will be scheduled in their home role based on Company requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support as required, based on branch departmental needs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair soft drink dispensing equipment, including vending machines, visi coolers, and fountain equipment, often working alone.
  • Deliver and install soft drink dispensing equipment.
  • Use and maintain trade tools and specialized testing equipment, such as electrical meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools.
  • Complete invoices, settlement sheets, and related paperwork accurately, using handheld computers or manual processes.
  • Adhere to PBC Home Based Technician Policy when operating the service vehicle.
  • Maintain parts and equipment inventory.

Qualifications

  • Able to work evenings and weekends, on-call bi-weekly, with flexible start times if needed.
  • A clean Ministry of Transport driver’s abstract and CVOR certificates are required, in line with company policy.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for customer service.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Able to safely move heavy vending and cooling equipment.
  • Ability to operate a handheld computer with Apple/Windows software.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills; aptitude test will be administered.
  • Must achieve a weighted average grade of 75% or higher to pass the aptitude test.
