PepsiCo Beverages Canada - Full-Time Millwright

The Role:

The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for repair and troubleshooting of our food production equipment with continued attention to preventative maintenance. Compensation:

  • This is a full-time position that requires open availability including weekends.
  • $42.65 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities

Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for repair and troubleshooting of our food production equipment with continued attention to preventative maintenance.
  • Responsibilities will include welding, machining, ammonia refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, plastics manufacturing, material handling, PLC, etc.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright certificate
  • 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate is an asset
  • Minimum of one-year previous electrical experience in a food plant environment
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Must be able to read and write English as there is a possibility of severe injury to self or others due to the nature of work
  • Cost exposure to the company is greater than $1,000
  • Familiar with the safe operation of hand tools
  • Team player who shows initiative, reliability and flexibility
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Frequently lifting/carrying a maximum of 80 lbs
  • Occasionally pushing/pulling/lifting a maximum of 100 lbs (with the aid of a mechanical device)
  • Frequent bending and reaching above the shoulder
