Overview

Full Time Service Technician B - Orillia

6 Month Contract

The Company is currently looking for one individual to perform the duties of a temporary Field Service Technician “B” for the summer. The designated shift for this position is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; shifts will be scheduled Monday to Friday based on Company requirements. The successful applicant must be able to perform “On-Call” duties on a rotating basis every second week and when required for vacation coverage – Mon-Fri 4:30pm to 10:00pm & Sat-Sun 8:00am to 10:00pm. When not scheduled in PES, the successful candidate will be scheduled in their home role based on Company requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support as required and determined by branch departmental needs.
  • Work independently troubleshooting and repairing soft drink dispensing equipment, including vending machines, visi coolers, and fountain equipment.
  • Deliver and install soft drink dispensing equipment.
  • Use and maintain trade tools and specialized testing equipment, such as electrical meters and refrigeration diagnostic tools.
  • Accurately complete invoices, settlement sheets, and related paperwork via handheld computers or manual processes.
  • Follow PBC Home Based Technician Policy when operating the service vehicle.
  • Maintain parts and equipment inventory.

Qualifications

  • Able to work evenings and weekends, on-call, on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Flexible start times to meet customer needs if required.
  • Must possess a clean Ministry of Transport driver’s abstract and CVOR certificates, in accordance with the company’s hiring policy.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Able to safely move heavy vending and cooling equipment.
  • Ability to operate a handheld computer using Apple or Windows-based software.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills; an aptitude test will be administered.
  • Must achieve a weighted average grade of 75% or higher to pass the aptitude test.
  • Test results may be used to select the most successful candidate.
