Overview
The company is currently seeking 1 individual to perform the duties of a Service Person “A”. The available shift(s) include 5 x 8 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with the possibility of on-call shifts on Tuesday to Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, and Friday 11:30 am – 8:00 pm, as well as Saturday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm + on call. These shifts are subject to change based on training, coverage needs, skills, abilities, and seniority-based rebidding.
Responsibilities
Job Duties Include:
- Working independently to troubleshoot and repair soft drink dispensing and foodservice equipment, including vending machines, visi coolers, fountain equipment, ice makers, food heating equipment, and FCB machines.
- Delivering vendor/coolers and installing fountain equipment.
- Using and maintaining trade tools and specialized diagnostic equipment, such as electrical meters and refrigeration tools.
- Completing invoices, settlement sheets, and related paperwork via handheld computers or manual processes.
- Maintaining parts and equipment inventory.
- Performing shift work once trained and certified (e.g., Pepsi Pro certification).
- Achieving the company's goal of 6+ successful activities per day.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of Pepsi Pro Certification within 6 months.
- Level I & II Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning training (considered an asset).
- Electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting courses (considered an asset).
- Valid AZ Ontario driver’s license (preferred).
- A clean Ministry of Transport driver’s abstract and CVOR certificates, in accordance with company policy.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to safely move heavy vending and cooling equipment.
- Proficiency in operating handheld computers with Apple/Windows software.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work with arms extended overhead for prolonged periods.
- Prolonged driving (8+ hours).
- Ability to service equipment in low storage areas, requiring kneeling, stooping, crouching, and squatting.
- Previous mechanic experience and ability to demonstrate skills is a strong asset.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude test with a minimum passing score of 75%.
