Job summary

George Brown Polytechnic is seeking a Manager, People Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness to advance organizational performance, employee experience, leadership capability, and strategic people initiatives aligned with the People Plan and institutional priorities.

Working collaboratively across People & Culture and with leaders across the Polytechnic, the role leads and coordinates strategic initiatives that strengthen organizational performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in HR, OD, Leadership, Business or related field; Master’s degree asset.
• Minimum of nine years leading people strategy, employee experience, talent management, workforce planning, or organizational effectiveness.
• Experience supporting employee engagement or listening initiatives and translating insights into action.
• Experience as strategic advisor, consultant, facilitator, and project lead with senior leaders.
• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs that support inclusive people practices.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor strategic People Plan initiatives with governance and reporting.
• Interpret employee listening results and support action planning.
• Serve as central connector across People & Culture for alignment and progress.
• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement; propose practical solutions.
• Design and implement employee experience initiatives and lifecycle improvements.
• Support workforce planning, talent initiatives, and organizational effectiveness projects.
