If the answer is ‘yes’, then we have a great opportunity for a People Development and Engagement professional to join our People Team. People development and staff engagement are a key commitment to the people of SUSU and are at the core of our people strategic plan and all our practices.

This role will be essential in supporting how we identify, deliver and measure our development offer to ensure our staff team are enabled and empowered to deliver excellent services and products to our members. This role will also oversee and continue developing our digital learning content, including our learning management system, and bespoke performance support materials so that development opportunities are engaging, relevant and available at the point of need for our staff teams and volunteers. This role will also co-lead and develop our internal communications channel and our staff engagement initiatives (relating to recognition and voice) so that our staff team feel well informed, motivated and proud to work at SUSU.

About You

It is essential that the successful candidate has up-to-date knowledge and experience of learning and development practice as well as designing, delivering and measuring innovative development solutions. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and interact with colleagues, managers and external stakeholders. You will have a good level of ability using a learning management system, Office 365 suite and a range of digital tools for development and engagement. It would be of benefit to have previous experience of staff communications and engagement, or strong interest to develop in this area. You will be committed to and have passion for the values of SUSU and the provision of excellent service to the people of the organisation.
