Job description

Join to apply for the People & Culture Advisor (Analytics) role at WorkSafeBC.

This position supports our People Analytics team, focusing on data analytics and human resources metrics. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop analytical and problem-solving skills within a large organization.

As part of a central team, you will provide reporting and analysis across HR functions, understanding client needs, selecting appropriate data, and delivering insights.

This role is primarily within our technical work stream, involving the development and maintenance of queries, datasets, and Power BI solutions. It also involves cross-functional advisory work, requiring both technical and consultative skills.

Where you'll work

WorkSafeBC offers a hybrid work model, primarily working from the Richmond office with at least one day on-site weekly.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with clients to identify reporting needs and deliver analysis and reports.
  • Use Power BI to create reports and dashboards from our data warehouse.
  • Download data from PeopleSoft and prepare reports using Power BI or Excel.
  • Partner with IT to ensure data is properly integrated and maintained.
  • Maintain security roles and documentation for reports.
  • As the analytics practice matures, collaborate on predictive analytics and models.
  • Provide advisory services, including developing metrics, KPIs, and visual insights for clients.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in human resources, data science, computer science, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
  • Experience in HR or data analytics, preferably in the public sector or unionized environments.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (PeopleSoft/Oracle) and reporting principles.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, and related tools.
  • Assets include experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, SPSS, Python, R, and a CPHR designation.

Compensation and benefits:

Salary: $81,046 - $98,471 annually.
