The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Architect to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients’ systems, especially in a cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security principles, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks, working closely with internal teams and Public Sector stakeholders to meet security requirements.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures for cloud and on-premises systems.
• Collaborate with teams and government stakeholders to address security requests and ensure compliance.
• Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and performance testing.
• Develop strategies for securing data in transit and at rest, including secure file transfer protocols.
• Provide expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, data privacy, and security standards.
• Apply knowledge of firewalls, network security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Leverage experience with security frameworks like CCCS.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Security Architect or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, network security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with IAM, risk assessment, and mitigation.
• Knowledge of data privacy and secure data handling.
• Hands-on with security frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001.
• Flexibility and ability to travel.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with Government of Canada environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP.
• Experience with Dayforce or similar cloud platforms.
