Job summary

PowerCo Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario, is hiring a student intern to lead people analytics projects within HR.

You will design Power BI dashboards, collaborate on data governance, and build scalable reports across HR functions. Qualifications

• Currently in a Canadian post-secondary education in Business, HR, Data Analytics or related.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling).
• Power BI and DAX fundamentals.
• Data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance.
• PowerPoint (presentation creation and formatting).
• Ad-hoc reporting (Primarily in Excel).
• Think-cell.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards delivering insights across HR domains.
• Plan, engagement in HR activities including Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development.
• Develop standardized data definitions, KPIs, governance docs, and data standards.
• Build data models and dashboards in SAP SuccessFactors for scalable reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Copilot solutions.
• Identify automation opportunities and AI-enabled tools to boost productivity.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality audits in SAP SuccessFactors.
• Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
• Provide executive and administrative support including coordination and presentations.

Your role and key responsibilities

This positions will focus on various people analytics projects and initiatives, working cross-functionally with the other HR divisions.

You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to building and developing data assets that provide strategic insights to HR leaders and team members. There will be occasional light administrative tasks to help keep our HR systems and operations running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity to work in a startup-like environment within a global organization that is building Canada’s first Gigafactory and reshaping the future of sustainable energy.

This is a position for a 4-8 month current student in a Canadian institution starting in January 2027.

What you bring to the team

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights across key HR domains, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Workforce
• Planning, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, and overall Workforce Demographic.
• Collaborate with HR and People Analytics teams to develop standardized data definitions, KPIs, and governance documentation—creating intake forms, approval workflows, and data standards—to ensure consistent terminology, aligned metrics, and a unified approach to HR data across the organization.
• Build and optimize data models and dashboards within SAP SuccessFactors to support scalable reporting, analytics, and dashboard development across multiple HR functional areas.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Microsoft Copilot solutions to automate administrative, HR, and business processes, improving efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through automation and AI-enabled solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to implement scalable tools that reduce manual effort and enhance productivity
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and routine data quality audits—primarily within SAP SuccessFactors—to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across HR data and analytics outputs.
• Analyze key HR metrics and KPIs to identify trends, generate insights, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Provide executive and administrative support including coordinating deliverables, preparing presentations and communications, managing documentation, tracking action items, and supporting day-to-day operational activities.
