We are seeking Pension Compliance & Client Outreach Representatives to join our BPA team in Mississauga, ON.
The Pension Compliance & Client Outreach Representative works in a team environment and assists with ensuring that the regulatory governance aspects of the all pension plans administered by BPA and are complied with. They help to ensure the various governance rules are followed in accordance with all Plan provisions and established internal protocols.
The Pension Compliance & Client Outreach Representative will:
- Be responsible for ensuring that BPA records are updated with the most recent client information and ensures that the highest level of data accuracy is maintained.
- Help to support ongoing compliance initiatives such as missing member locater projects, pensioner audits, and works closely with pension administration managers to ensure escalations are centralized and tracked.
- Be the single and first point of contact to members on special projects, and participates in regular client outreach campaigns to members.
- Work with pension administration managers to monitor & document risk.
- Provide call support to pension administration teams as needed.
- Participate in client survey campaigns for client service delivery and VoC data collection.
- Support operational leaders to research issues related to regulatory governance, and participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to pension governance and regulations.
- Investigate and prepare draft letters in reply to queries from members.
- Prepare option or authorization packages for death, disability, retirement, termination, and marriage breakdown in accordance with specific Plan provisions, government legislation requirements, and current service standards, as required.
- Maintain up-to-date records of both paper and electronic of all transactions processed.
- Investigate and respond to member inquiries.
- Determine entitlements on death, retirement, and terminations in accordance with specific Plan provisions, government legislation requirements, and current service standards.
- Authorize payment of benefit entitlements and plan expenses from Custodian, as part of any missing member searches.
- Participate in other duties and projects, as assigned.
To be successful as a Pension Compliance & Client Outreach Representative with BPA, you will need:
- Completion of Post Secondary Education or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills (formatting, build/interpret pension calculators, data analysis functions).
- Intermediate MS Word skills (formatting, word merge and conditional wording).
- Displays a positive attitude with a focus on teamwork; enjoys collaboration and contributes to a supportive work environment.
- Excellent and proven organization skills.
- Delivers excellent customer service through responsiveness, professionalism, and effective problem-solving.
- Adaptability and flexibility in changing work environments and tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- To maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive member information in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
- Excellent work ethic and accountability.
All-star candidates will have:
- Bilingual: English & French (Written & Spoken) is considered an asset.
- Previous related work experience within pension administration.
