We are seeking talented Defined Benefits (DB) Administration specialists to join our Retirement Consulting team. Our experts across the country are dedicated to helping clients improve the financial well-being of their plan members. Our primary focus is administering DB pension plans, with various service models tailored to meet each client's needs. Here's the impact you'll have:

As a Pension Analyst, you'll work within a team providing quality, client-focused administrative services for corporate clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing interfund transfers, contributions, withdrawals, and terminations.
  • Providing regular and ad hoc reports for clients.
  • Responding to plan member and client inquiries.
  • Entering, updating, auditing information, and performing transactions using in-house software.
  • Liaising with consultants, trust companies, and investment managers concerning DC plans.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations.
  • Staying informed about pension, tax, and securities legislation and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Attending training to stay updated on industry topics.
  • Ensuring quality control and service standards are met.
  • Understanding clients' perspectives and priorities.
  • Acting as a backup for inbound calls from members and clients.
  • Participating in special projects as needed.

Qualifications and skills for success:

  • Proficiency in English and French is an asset.
  • Knowledge of group benefits, including DB and DC pensions or group insurance, is an asset.
  • A relevant university degree.
  • CSC or IFIC designation or in progress is an asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-focused pension role, with knowledge of provincial pension and tax laws.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and time management skills.
