Walmart Canada is hiring a Relief Pharmacist to support Pharmacy Operations. The role collaborates with the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, accepts prescriptions, counsel patients, and ensures safe, accurate dispensing.

You will travel to multiple locations within the Relief program and work with clinical staff to deliver services. Minimum qualifications include an active Pharmacist license and eligibility to work in Canada; travel and adherence to OBWs/SOPs are required.

• Accept prescriptions and refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.
• Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently and safely and counsel patients on medications.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Follow OBWs/SOPs and complete processes accordingly.
• Operate pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems).
• Protect patient privacy and comply with provincial regulations.
• Provide eligible services (medication reviews, injections) as required.
• Travel to various locations as per Relief Pharmacist program scheduling.
• Develop collaborative relationships with health care providers within the store.

Position Summary...The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and the Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.What you'll do...Ensure excellent patient experience, locate merchandise on the sales floor.Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.). Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body. Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections etc.) to meet specific patient needs. Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program. Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator. Develop and establish a collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, their community etc.)The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $64.50/hr.
