Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 246-bed facility that serves as the referral centre for approximately 250,000 people, and is located in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap Health Service Area. As one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals, RIH is a no refusal centre with an Emergency Department that receives over 250 major trauma and 62,000 visits per year. Kamloops offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24-hour Emergency and Trauma Services, Ambulatory and Outpatient Clinics, and Diagnostic Services.

In this position you will join a team of 7 talented and dedicated pediatricians providing general acute care, neonatal and consultant pediatric services to patients and their families at RIH. Enjoy a busy and challenging practice working alongside an excellent team of caring professionals. RIH is a referral centre serving the residents of Kamloops and the Thompson, Shuswap, Cariboo region offering 9 pediatric beds. The NICU is a level 2B (CPAP, short term ventilation, TNP) nursery with 8+ beds. Affiliated with the UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program, this role is also actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.

Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service
Estimated Remuneration: $350,000, plus MOCAP level 2 Physician Overhead Overhead costs associated with private practice only
