Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) invites applications for a Pediatrician locum to support the Swift Current community. The role includes 24-hour inpatient hospital coverage and emergency on-call duties, with established coverage dates and predictable rotations.

Accommodation is provided if required, and travel time is reimbursed at $20/hour for each locum assignment, with CMPA coverage and SHA credentialing requirements to be met before starting.

Qualifications

• Regular CPSS licensure or eligible to be licensed in Saskatchewan.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Successful SHA credentialing including reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
• Current CMPA coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour inpatient hospital coverage.

Job description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking Pediatrician locum support in the community of Swift Current. Responsibilities include 24-hour inpatient hospital coverage and emergency on-call duties.

Coverage Dates:

• July 12 @ 0800 - July 17 @ 0800
• August 13 @ 0800 - August 14 @ 0800

Remuneration

• Daily Rate: $2,276.68 per 24-hour period
• Emergency Call: In addition to the daily rate, the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP) stipend applies in accordance with program terms

Additional Support

• Accommodation: Provided, if required
• Travel Time: $20/hour (one return trip per locum assignment)

Job Qualifications

• Regular License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS)(or eligible to be licensed)
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful SHA credentialing including but notlimited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
• Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
