Job summary

SHARE Family & Community Services in British Columbia is seeking a Pediatric Physiotherapist to support children and students in achieving independent functioning across school, home and community.

The role emphasizes assessment, treatment, education and program planning for pediatric clients, with 21–28 hours per week in the Tri-Cities/New Westminster region. Start as soon as possible with a closing date in May 2027.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with pediatric training.
  • Registered with the College of Physical Therapists of BC.
  • Minimum 1 year pediatric clinical experience.
  • Experience in community-based early intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate children’s physical abilities using standardized and non-standardized tools.
  • Plan and develop goals for physiotherapy services with family input.
  • Provide direct therapy to individuals and groups.
  • Guide families and caregivers on implementing therapy components.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and refer to other services as needed.
  • Coordinate with school teams and other professionals for integrated care.
  • Maintain records and produce reports as required.
  • Provide consultative and educational services to families and service providers.
  • Keep up-to-date with literature and best practices.
