  • Minimum two years of community or clinical/hospital experience preferred.
  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Ability to obtain a Mask Fit test.

Job description

Title: Pediatric Evening / Overnight Shift Nurse

Location: North Bay, ON

Employment Type: Part-Time / Full Time

We are seeking a Pediatric Shift Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to pediatric clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a caring culture, demonstrating flexibility, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

If you are passionate about client-focused care, enjoy working with a variety of patients in the community, and have extensive wound care experience, this opportunity is for you!

What You Will Be Doing
  • Caring for clients with extensive experience in wound care management.
  • Administering IV antibiotics, performing IV cannulation, managing chemo disconnects, CVAD care, and PORT-A-CATH access/de-access (asset).
  • Reporting and coordinating with HCCSS (LHIN).
  • Supporting school-aged clients.
  • Traveling between clients within the community.
  • Creating reports and updates on clients.
  • Ordering supplies for patients.
  • Building relationships and rapport with clients.
  • Working independently as a self-starter and reliably working within a team.
  • Problem-solving to find solutions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensuring safety for yourself and clients, with a focus on safe work practices.
Skills Needed For Success
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable to dynamic environments.
  • Highly organized with excellent scheduling skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Minimum two years of community or clinical/hospital experience (preferred).
  • Current registration as RN or RPN with the CNO.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Mask Fit test.
  • Willing to commit to weekends and on-call shifts.
