PEDIATRIC GASTROENTEROLOGIST/HEPATOLOGIST

Position Type: Regular Full Time

Department: of Pediatrics, BC Children's Hospital

BC Children's Hospital (BCCH) cares for the province's most acutely ill or injured children and youth, provides developmental and rehabilitation services, and offers a broad range of health services. BCCH operates specialized health programs, is a leading acute care teaching facility, and conducts research through the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute in partnership with the University of British Columbia.

BCCH is part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), which manages province-wide health care services across BC, emphasizing values like respect, compassion, innovation, partnership, and service.

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is Canada's third largest university, known for research excellence and a significant economic impact.

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition serves a population of 5 million, offering consultative and inpatient care, with a team of eight full-time and one part-time faculty members. The division is recognized for research in host defense, epidemiology, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease, and offers a Royal College accredited fellowship program.

We seek a pediatric gastroenterologist with a focus on clinical care, education, and research, especially in pediatric hepatology. Experience in pediatric liver transplantation is an asset. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality clinical care, with potential for academic involvement, and be eligible for licensure and fellowship in Canada.
