Job summary

Shared Health's Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg seeks a part-time Phase II Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental care for high-risk patients. You will assist with comprehensive treatment for children with complex needs, help with procedures under anesthesia, and manage front-office duties as required.

The role requires a Phase II/Expanded Duty certificate, Manitoba Dental Association registration, and current BCLS. The position is 0.50 FTE, in-person, with a maternity-leave term period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Manitoba Standards) required.
• Successful completion of Phase II/Expanded Duty Dental Assistant training program required.
• Annual registration with the Manitoba Dental Association and current BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with comprehensive dental treatment for children with complex needs.
• Provide office/reception duties as required.
• Maintain stock, restock supplies, and ensure equipment is ready for use.
• Assist with dental procedures under general anesthesia or IV sedation as needed.
