Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Red Deer is seeking an Audiologist I to provide screening, assessment and management of hearing and balance disorders for children and youth aged 0 to 17. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive audiology services.

You will lead and supervise students, contribute to program development, counsel families, and refer to other services as needed, in a 0.40 FTE role at Red Deer 49th Street Community Health Centre.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Audiology is required.
  • Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Screening, identification, assessment and management of hearing and balance disorders in children and youth (0–17).
  • Provide counseling to patients and families and establish intervention plans.
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to staff as appropriate.
