Your Opportunity:
We are currently seeking Full Time Clinical Pediatric Assistants to join our Pediatric and NICU team at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact daily in healthcare, leveraging your strong work ethic.
The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is a 250-bed acute care facility featuring a busy emergency department, ICU, NICU, and specialized services including OBGYN, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, urology, palliative care, pediatrics, psychiatry, and radiation therapy. Grande Prairie is a vibrant, culturally diverse city with a population of approximately 75,820, serving a catchment area of about 250,000. The city offers numerous recreational, educational, shopping, and entertainment options, including a multiplex recreational centre, a community college, cultural events, skiing, mountain biking, and camping. The region is connected to Calgary and Edmonton via daily flights through Air Canada and WestJet.
We offer a competitive salary along with a Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000 annually, payable hourly for all paid hours at the basic rate.
Description:
As a Full Time Pediatric Associate Physician, you will work under Pediatricians to assist in the Pediatric and NICU wards and provide post-natal support. Your responsibilities include responding to emergent ER calls, following management plans, managing high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and airway management. You will initiate management of preterm babies (32 weeks and above), document admissions, orders, and discharges, attend codes, deliveries, and night rounds, and respond to nursing calls. The role involves collaborative teamwork, critical thinking, and the ability to perform airway management.

Preferred Qualifications:
