Job Purpose :
The main purpose of a Vospers PDI Vehicle Technician is to perform service, repair, and maintenance on customer vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Core Duties :
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles.
- Work safely and economically, following HSE and Vospers safety practices.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Regularly check and maintain equipment and machinery.
- Develop skills in all aspects of repair, service, and maintenance.
- Accurately interpret repair instructions to ensure first-time repairs.
- Plan and execute servicing efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Handle vehicles carefully and take care of vehicles during service.
- Communicate with customers about vehicle issues when necessary to aid diagnostics and improve satisfaction.
- Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Road test vehicles and diagnose problems as needed.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Observe all safety procedures and maintain a safe workspace.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and inform supervisors of any issues or additional work needed.
- Assist and train trainees as required.
- Respect colleagues and contribute to process improvements.
- Report damages or suspicious circumstances immediately.
- Stay updated with technical information and attend training courses.
- Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about competitors.
- Participate in team meetings and promote a positive work environment.
- Develop personal and team knowledge through training.
- Ensure security within the department and premises.
- Review responsibilities regularly and suggest improvements.
- Engage with other teams to promote company culture.
- Maintain professional appearance and safe working practices.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications, to be discussed at interview
Hours: 4 on 4 off rota, including Saturdays (1 in 2)
