Job Purpose :

The main purpose of a Vospers PDI Vehicle Technician is to perform service, repair, and maintenance on customer vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Core Duties :

1. Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles.
2. Work safely and economically, following HSE and Vospers safety practices.
3. Contribute to a positive team environment.
4. Regularly check and maintain equipment and machinery.
5. Develop skills in all aspects of repair, service, and maintenance.
6. Accurately interpret repair instructions to ensure first-time repairs.
7. Plan and execute servicing efficiently to meet deadlines.
8. Handle vehicles carefully and take care of vehicles during service.
9. Communicate with customers about vehicle issues when necessary to aid diagnostics and improve satisfaction.
10. Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional sales opportunities.
11. Road test vehicles and diagnose problems as needed.
12. Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
13. Maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
14. Observe all safety procedures and maintain a safe workspace.
15. Work collaboratively with colleagues and inform supervisors of any issues or additional work needed.
16. Assist and train trainees as required.
17. Respect colleagues and contribute to process improvements.
18. Report damages or suspicious circumstances immediately.
19. Stay updated with technical information and attend training courses.
20. Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about competitors.
21. Participate in team meetings and promote a positive work environment.
22. Develop personal and team knowledge through training.
23. Ensure security within the department and premises.
24. Review responsibilities regularly and suggest improvements.
25. Engage with other teams to promote company culture.
26. Maintain professional appearance and safe working practices.
27. Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.

Location: Truro, Cornwall

Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications, to be discussed at interview

Hours: 4 on 4 off rota, including Saturdays (1 in 2)
