About the job:

We are the team delivering BC Hydro’s Distribution Street Vault Mitigation Plan (VMP) for the BCUC. We are part of PCM’s Compliance and Emergent Initiatives, handling urgent, high-profile projects.

What you’ll do

  1. Manage end-to-end processes for various time-sensitive projects.
  2. Lead project teams, set expectations, facilitate decision-making, identify/escalate risks, and work towards project objectives.
  3. Oversee daily project delivery, monitor progress, report, forecast, solve problems, and escalate issues.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and external parties, hold teams accountable, foster a positive environment, and provide regular updates.
  5. Represent BC Hydro in contracts, support risk reduction, participate in negotiations, review deliverables and invoices.
  6. Travel as needed for project delivery or team engagement.
  7. Support organizational values and collaborative approach.

What you bring

  • Leadership skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project, program, or business management within utilities, engineering, or construction.
  • Relevant certifications, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Emotional intelligence and openness to feedback.
  • Understanding of electrical distribution systems.
  • Ability to connect details with the bigger picture, be agile, and adapt.

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
