Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division seeks a PBRC Technician for the Kitchener, Ontario facility. The role runs 8am–4pm with an hourly rate of 27.92–34.90 CAD, depending on skills and experience. You will perform full-scale analysis, repair/assembly, and testing of products serviced by the center of excellence.

Responsibilities include quality assembly, reading schematics, wiring, and maintaining records. Applicants must have a Electronics/Electrical Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation tech.
• No relocation; must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Knowledge of safety precautions when handling electrical/electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assembly and testing of products at the center of excellence.
• Assemble electrical products including motor controls and circuit breakers.
• Support aftermarket products and use Eaton software for time entries.
• Visually inspect components for electrical and mechanical defects.
• Read blueprints and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.
• Complete sub-assembly and wiring as directed.
• Maintain quality and calibration records and area performance.
• Report problems to the assigned leader.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s Electrical System and Services Group is seeking a full time Power Breaker Refurbishment Center (PBRc) Technician to join our team. This position will be working at the Kitchener, Ontario facility.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide full scale analysis, repair/assembly and testing of complete scope of products serviced by the service center.

• You will be responsible for performing quality assembly and testing of the complete scope of products serviced by the center of excellence.
• You will assemble electrical products of all levels including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc. This includes all sub-assemblies to the component level and large scale units.
• You will support aftermarket products and perform time entry transactions through Eaton proprietary software systems.
• You will visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.
• You will read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.
• You will complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned.
• You will maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed.
• You will receive direction and assignments from the assigned leader, and report any problems to the leader.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent level of education in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering required from an accredited institution.
• Min 1 years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation technology.
• No relocation provided.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong mechanical ability and familiarity with control circuitry.
• Familiarity with process and procedures of Statistical Quality Control Methods.
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials.
• Hand tool experience.
• Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
• Understanding of the company’s and competitor’s electrical, electronic and mechanical products.
