YOUR ROLE

Payroll Specialist & System Coordinator is responsible for identifying and optimizing payroll processes within SAP SuccessFactors. This role involves close collaboration with payroll colleagues, HR, IT, and Store Operations to identify system improvement opportunities, implement changes, and analyze the outcomes of improvements or enhancements. The coordinator ensures payroll accuracy, distributes reports, and promotes efficient practices by introducing streamlined methods to the payroll team. Good leadership, professional, versatile and dynamic, providing irreproachable customer service.

This is a 6 months contract!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic: 20%

  • Foster the evolution of payroll by developing new solutions aimed at optimizing the efficiency of the processes in place.
  • In accordance with federal, provincial and company policies; prepare and process payroll for Canada and USA,
  • Knowledge of current and emerging laws, in addition to new company policies and ensuring they are implemented in SAP Success factor in a timely manner for USA & Canada.
  • Collaborate with human resources, information technologies and the various operations managers to implement processes ensuring the efficiency of payroll management.
  • Updating any information related to payroll (i.e., sick plans, minimum wages & payroll log).
  • Special projects outlined in yearly objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Payroll Director to communicate system issues and actively brainstorm potential enhancements and solutions.

Operational: 70%

  • Responsible for all SAP Success Factor processes (load of hours, bonuses, pay calculations, interfaces, completing the pay, transmission to the bank and more).
  • Preparing payroll related reports for internal and external requests.
  • Initiate and conduct testing of payroll-related support tickets
  • Maintain, update, and perform regular testing of the payroll system
  • Contribute to year end payroll activities for both Canada and USA
  • Participate in external and internal audits.
  • Backup for Senior Head Office Payroll administrator and Store Payroll.

Leadership: 10%

  • The ability to react quickly to challenges that arise, finding the best way to manage a situation.
  • Act upon any payroll pending issues and ensure resolution in timely manner.
  • Research on new laws and regulation Canada and USA.
  • Self-assessment and preparation of annual objectives.

  • Title of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset.
  • Possess 5 years of experience in the USA and / or Canada payroll field.
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of experience with automated payroll systems and good knowledge of SAP Success Factor.
  • Possess experience as a systems analyst an asset.
  • Advanced abilities to work with the Microsoft Office suite, more particularly with Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP Success Factor software an asset.
