Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home based and community setting services.

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who is excited about managing the payroll of a diverse, high-volume work environment with the support and training from a highly specialized payroll team.

This Payroll Specialist role is a hybrid position based out of our Mississauga head office.

What you will be doing:
  • All things payroll including completing bi-weekly payroll cycle processing in a union and non-union environment.
  • Managing employee lifecycle payroll system such as setting up new hire and processing Record of Employments (ROE).
  • It’s all about the reports. Prepare various payroll reports for both internal and external stakeholders and distribute them in a timely manner.
  • Identify and provide solutions for any potential payroll issues and/or concerns.
Skills you already have:
  • The Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, recognized by the Canadian Payroll Association or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years Canadian Payroll experience.
  • Adept in using Excel and payroll software.
  • A proven track record of being accountable for multiple deliverables, reporting and high-quality performance.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and efficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
