Payroll Specialist – 6-Month Contract

We’re hiring an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 6-month contract with a high-performing FinTech company. This role is ideal for someone available to start right away and brings expertise in Ontario, Quebec, and US payroll .

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage end-to-end bi-weekly payroll
  • Oversee the full payroll cycle, including year-end reporting and audits
  • Address employee questions regarding payroll, tax, leave, and benefits
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to collect information and approvals for payroll
  • Partner with HR and Finance on payroll reviews and related queries
  • Maintain and update payroll data in HRIS.
  • Produce accurate reports on payroll metrics such as headcount, turnover, and vacancies
  • Lead payroll audits, historical pay reviews, and special projects
  • Ensure compliance with changing payroll legislation across jurisdictions

What You Bring

  • Diploma or Degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Proven experience with Ontario, Quebec, and US payroll
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems (e.g. Ceridian, ADP, Workday)
  • Available to start immediately
