  • Experience in mining or resources is beneficial but not essential.

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process salaries, allowances, contract changes, terminations, and incentive payments with accuracy and care
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State payroll legislation
  • Manage employee leave entitlements and deductions, including payments to external bodies
  • Handle superannuation payments and remittances in line with legal requirements
  • Keep payroll information confidential and secure, respecting privacy laws
  • Interpret and apply Award conditions correctly and fairly
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, with strong data entry and validation skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy — you take pride in your work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)
  • Commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement
  • Experience with SAP payroll systems is a big plus
  • Previous experience in mining or resources is beneficial but not essential
